Hi Folks just a wee update on what we've been up to over the past few months,

Last July 'the Opera' again entered a float in the Games fancy dress

Being the start of our Centenary celebration we had ‘100 years of the Opera’ as our theme. With many characters from past shows represented. The Thursday went well (we won 2nd prize) as did the Saturday morning, well that was until we were coming back down Leithen Road and the heavens opened and we got a right drookin’. All good fun though.

The social committee again held a successful buffet after the Saturday night performance of the Cabaret in September.

Around 20 members and friends attended the NODA Scotland conference, banquet and ball in October at Peebles Hydro.

We held a Fireworks party in November and although the weather conspired against us, we still managed to get a few rockets launched.

Our annual (after) Christmas party took place at the end of January with a 'Children's Party' theme. We had a wide variety of fancy dress costumes including a Pirate, Three Blind Mice and a Jack in the Box!

We also took our usual trips to see various other Border societies spring productions.

The Social Committee will be providing a buffet for members on the Friday and Saturday nights of the show

We also plan to enter a float in the fancy dress parade…… details to follow.
